Reconstruction of concrete areas around NTK
During the spring and summer of 2025, the concrete surfaces around the National Library of Technology will be reconstructed. The reason for this is the deteriorated technical condition, especially the subsidence of the panels and the need to repair the plinth of the facade. The aim of the works is to increase safety for library visitors, improve drainage and restore the aesthetic appearance of the building's surroundings.
Schedule of works
- Handover of the site: 12 May 2025
- Start of works: beginning of June 2025
- Estimated completion: by 31 December 2025

News
On 6 and 7 December 2025, construction work will take place in front of the NTK1 entrance. For this reason, the NTK1 entrance will be temporarily closed. All other entrances will remain accessible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
What does this mean for visitors?
The reconstruction will be carried out in stages to ensure safe access to the NTK building at all times. During the works, there may be short-term restrictions on movement around the library, increased noise pollution, dust and vibrations.
Library operations will be maintained
All library services remain available and NTK opening hours remain unchanged. We will do our best to ensure that construction activity has as little impact on your comfort as possible.
